Today is the 9 year anniversary of my heart surgery! I said before that I’m getting too many of these big anniversaries, it’s getting hard to process them all. But that was the first very big one so today definitely strikes a chord.
Jeremy made me a stubbornheart fish for dinner!

We just got home from the Vasculitis conference Sunday and it was totally worth the trip. We learned a lot and got to spend time with 100 other registrants who just understood. The get the struggle of the diagnosis mystery, the medication side effects, getting doctors to communicate, figuring out the cocktail necessary to be in remission, managing the scanxiety and waiting, and fighting with insurance. The doctors that spoke also had very helpful information. There was an ENT who spoke about the high number of ear and sinus issues associated with my disease. I have had those my whole life, so it was all interesting.
And the best part, we got to spend time with our friends on the harbor. We even got a peak of Mt Ranier!
I got my CT scan report, but I don’t understand anything so I’m waiting for one of my doctors to call about it. I sent it to the surgeon as well. I refuse to google those things!
The best of the weekend, was when we got off the plane from Seattle, we went and picked up McKenzie and celebrated her first birthday! She was nice and exhausted after a couple days with her daycare teacher and her dogs (and she gave us this adorable Pic)
. We gave her her elk horn and toughest stuffy that the store had for ‘extreme chewers’ and a turkey burger!

Then today we went to sisters, which is 30 minutes away but they are a winter wonderland! These mountain lakes were frozen and it was a lovely little adventure.
