New Mexico Skies

We finally made it!

I thought I would update more along the way, but driving really wore me out! We got in around 5 pm yesterday after about 7.5 hours of driving. I don’t know about you, but I really have a hard time sitting that long. My body aches today, and I’m very glad to be here safe and sound

New Mexico welcomed us with a gorgeous thunderstorm and colorful sunset.

We brought everything into the garage last night and hauled in the necessities. Now comes the part where we try to settle into our temporary space. The house is very nice and big! It’s old school style with a formal dining room and separate sitting space and living room. The people that lived here must have been very religious, as there is A LOT of Jesus-y trinkets everywhere! The landlord stopped over yesterday and already fell in love with McKenzie. She is lovely and very flexible, which we are grateful for as well.

Thanks for all of the calls and texts checking in on us, they made the journey far more tolerable and allowed me to catch up with some folks! I’ll keep you updated on our progress settling in as well as Jeremy’s job journey.

As I continue dreaming, I found this place, at a meager 17 MILLION dollars, it does have a river! Anyone want to invest in this with us? It’s actually in the town we’ve been dreaming of living in for several years now! Oh, how a girl can dream.

Here’s some crappy car picks from our journey
