Cough craziness

I had a whole day with no requirements besides pushing up groceries! A dream!
The last few days have been very busy. I thought unemployment would be boring but I’m honestly unsure of how the day ends so quickly! After my morning routine, the dog, a few calls, appointments and maybe 1 (at most) social activity [this week is book club!!] I find myself exhausted.
I woke up coughing pretty bad today. I don’t know yall. I’m really stumped by this one. I tried omeprazole this week cause had someone tell me her colleague had a lingering call for months and it turned out to be because of acid reflux. I had some from a long time ago so I took it for several days (which is really hard for me because it’s terrible for your gut microbiom). Alas, I actually thought I was getting better and then woke up full force today and had been nonstop.
Cough has continued through the week in full force. The body aches I was experiencing on occasion with no rhyme or reason have increased intensely. It feels like the body aches you get when you have the flu, but I don’t have any other symptoms. I thought it was a by-product of the cough, but it’s been getting to a point where it’s somewhat debilitating. It sets in around 11 and makes it hard to want to move around. My breathing is also not great, so it might just be my asthma, but the prednisone i took before didn’t help, which is weird. Before his shift, Jeremy made a comment about hoping my autoimmune wasn’t flaring. ugh, I hadn’t thought of that.
So I got my follow-up blood work for my autoimmune this week. Not all bad, but not great news.
A couple of my inflammation markets were really high. A couple are fine.
I don’t know what this means.
I messaged my rheumatologist in Austin who wanted me to see someone local. My local pulmonologist wants me to see a rheumatologist.
Someone needs to tell me what to do! sigh.
Luckily I was able to move up my pulmonologist appointment so I see him on Tuesday and we’re flying into Austin next Wednesday for a quick visit for these doctor things. I’ll be getting the echo for my heart and seeing my cardiologist and rheumatologist.
It’s going to be a very busy few days, but I’m hopeful I’ll get some answers on these crazy symptoms.
In the meantime, we’re taking the sweet pup on her first camping trip this weekend! We’re prepared that it might be a complete disaster, but we want to break her in early. I’m excited about it!
Here’s a few pics of our recent outings.
