Almost there

Today is my last day of isolation.

I’m ready for all of this to be out of my system. I’m definitely on the up and feeling better everyday. I just can’t seem to shake this cough (which I’ve had for about a month and is unrelated to iodine), but still causing my healing body much strife.

Isolation hasn’t been all that much different than a normal weekend in which Jeremy is on shift. I just don’t have any guilt about not running errands or doing chores! Yesterday I did my first workout with weights, which was really, really hard. My butt is very sore today. That was slightly depressing, but I have built myself back up once before and know I will do it again. Afterwards I read, napped, took a walk around the neighborhood weirdly avoiding everyone I might pass, and watched some tv.

I have so many things i wanted to get done, but I’m letting productivity fall to the wayside cause I just want to rest. I know that my body needs it after the last couple of months.

I was able to stop the diet yesterday and enjoyed one of my toasted gluten free tortillas with cheese. It is dumb, but brought my soul and my irritable stomach much joy. Food is weird while you are radioactive, because of the way my stomach is, nothing sounds good. This makes me sad, cause I love food and eating. Currently it just feels like a chore. I’m hopeful that will go away soon. I might doordash something later if it sounds good just to celebrate and have some different flavors after almost 3 weeks of this diet!

All in all, I’m on the up. I have a scan scheduled for Wednesday that will ultimately tell if I’m cancer free. I really hope so. If you have any will left for cancer-free prayers, vibes, thoughts or voodoo in you, please send them on Wed. If there is still cancer, I have to do another, stronger round of the radioactive iodine. I would really like to avoid that.

I don’t know when I’ll get the results. If I don’t get them Friday then I’ll have to wait til Tues because of Presidents day. I’m banking on Tues cause this has drug on this long lol, I anticipate another lesson in patience.

The good news is that Jeremy and I booked a campsite for the weekend at a park with a famous waterfall. I don’t know how much hiking and activity I’ll be able to do but I’m so excited to get time out in nature again.

Onwards!

<p>Ok I finally spoke to my endocrinologist today. I got the report last week, but I was unsure of what exactly it meant. What I could get from it was that there was an area that lit up in the scan in
